【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedfordeterminationofthespecificopticaldensityofsmokegeneratedbyelectricalwire/cableinsulationmaterialsduetopyroliticdecompositionundertheinfluenceofradiantheatonlyorwithsimultaneousflameapplication.Itisusedforevaluationofinsulationmaterialsofelectricalwire/cableusedintheinteriorsofaerospacevehiclesbutmaybeutilizedinotherapplicationsasspecifiedinapplicableprocurementdocuments.Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofproductsinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Howeverresultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.
