【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61291appliestoopticalfibreamplifiers(OFAs)andopticallyamplified,elementarysubsystems.ItappliesonlytoOFAsusingactivefibres,containingrare-earthdopants,presentlycommerciallyavailable.Theobjectofthisstandardis:-toestablishuniformrequirementsfortransmission,operation,reliabilityandenvironmentalpropertiesofOFAs;-toprovideassistancetothepurchaserintheselectionofconsistentlyhigh-qualityOFAproductsforhisparticularapplications.NOTE-ThisInternationalStandardhasbeenpreparedfromtheexperiencewithErbium-dopedsilica-basedfibreamplifiers,operatinginthe1550nmwavelengthregion.FutureOFAs,basedondifferentactivefibresandpossiblyoperatingindifferentwavelengthsregions,arenotintendedtobeexcludedfromthisInternationalStandardandmayleadtoadditionaldefinitionsandtestmethods,aswellastomodificationsoftheexistingones.
