【摘要】:Protectivecoatingsareusedonmetallicandconcretestorageandprocessingvessels,shippingcontainers,damsandrailcarstoprotectthesubstratefromcorrosiveattackandtoprotectstoredmaterials(cargo)fromcontamination.Thismethodprovidesameanstoassesstheabilityofaprotectivecoatingtoresistdegradationbychemicalsandtoprotecttheliquidcargofromcontaminationbyeitherthesubstrateorcoating,basedonvisualobservations.Othermeasuresofdegradation,suchaschangesinweightordimensionsofthecoatingmaterial,orchemicalchangestothecargo,maybeusedtoassessthisprotectiveabilityasmutuallyagreeduponbetweencontractingparties.Thisstandardpracticecoversthreeapproachestoconductingevaluationsofaliningcoatingmaterialsfitnessforpurpose.MethodA8212;Evaluationofspecimensunderconditionsofconstanttemperatureatatmosphericpressure,(thatis,withoutathermalgradient).MethodB8212;Evaluationofspecimensunderconditionswhichprovidesatemperaturegradientacrossthesample:Thetemperaturemayincreasefromcoatedsidetouncoatedside(MethodB1)ordecreasefromcoatedsidetouncoatedside(MethodB2).MethodC8212;Evaluationofspecimensunderconditionsofconstanttemperatureandincreasedpressure,(thatis,withoutathermalgradient).Exposureofmaterialsofknownperformance(acontrol)atthesametimeasthetestmaterialisrecommended.1.1Thispracticeestablishesproceduresfortheevaluationoftheresistanceofindustrialprotectivecoatingstoimmersioninchemicals.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesisareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
